Corgi VA14300 Ford Escort Mk4 XR3i Diamond White
The XR3i model was originally purchased from Arrow Ford in Blackwood, Gwent, on December 15th 1987 and used regularly until 2000 when the then owner passed away. It was then put into storage but eventually re-commissioned and MOT tested by a new owner in Wales in 2006 who offered it for sale via the XR Owners Club in January 2012. It was then bought for £700 by current owner Rob Osborne, a vehicle detailer from Kent. Rob is the car's sixth owner but remarkably, unlike many XR3is, it hadn't been modified during its 132,000 miles so he's restored it to its original specification.
Corgi scanned this example to produce our new MkIV Escort tool. Rob's quest for originality in the restoration of his XR3i has extended to replacing the modern CD player with a factory radio cassette and, because the car is a rare base model XR3i with wind-up windows, replacing the alloy wheels with the correct steel wheels and pearlescent white hubcaps which involved shipping the wheels from Germany. Most UK buyers opted for a higher specification which included alloy-wheels, electric windows, ABS, central locking, spot lamps and a trip computer. Rob has fitted a new unused set of Daytona cloth seats, which amazingly were being stored by a neighbour. He has been able to retain most of the car's original paint work and has created a stunning original specification car which he enjoys using regularly.

Delivery is charged as priced on each order. Your order will be sent by your chosen delivery service. Standard Delivery £4.00 Most single loco's, scalextric cars and small items are sent 1st Class by Royal Mail normally delivered within 1-2 days although can take 3-5 working days. Heavy or bulky items will be sent by courier. Once you have placed an order it will be dispatched the same day or the next day depending on the time the order was placed. If you wish to cancel your order after it has been despatched, you will be charged for both delivery and collection cost.
If you are unavailable when our delivery partner tries to deliver your order, they will usually try to deliver again the next working day or they will drop a card in to offer you a collection from a local collection point. If you should refuse delivery of goods, or are not available to accept the delivery on both delivery attempts, you will be required to cover any extra costs incurred.
All quoted delivery prices are for most UK Mainland addresses. Northern Ireland (BT), Isle of Wight (PO30-37), Isle of Man (IM), Scottish Highlands and Orkney Isles (PA, ML, EH, KA, G, KY, PH, DD, AB, IV, KW), Outer Hebrides and the Shetland Isles (HS, ZE) will incur additional charges and may also experience delivery delays; morning, Saturday and "next working day" deliveries are optional and will also incur additional charges.
We will only deliver goods to the address on the order.

If you are unhappy with the goods received we will refund them if they are sent back at the customer's expense in new resaleable condition within 7 working days along with the original receipt.
We suggest for your own protection you use 1st class registered post.
Any refunds will be issued once we have received the goods, in there original condition.
We will not charge a restocking fee for returned items.
Any goods with manufacturing faults on arrival will be replaced or refunded.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
